Come spiegato dallo stesso artista: “[...]

Hockey is a series of works based on a hockey stick, to which strips of images designed by the artist are applied, with the possibility of creating personal ones simply by tracing the same shape of the shaft.
The work is therefore free to take completely unexpected paths, shifting attention to forms and images, bypassing any explicit cultural reference.
As explained by the artist himself: “[...] Not understanding has nothing to do with a fool. It just doesn’t belong to him. Not understanding means abandoning oneself to the phenomenon itself by accepting the possible ways out that can be found, be they one or many, without importance or rightness.
It is the forms that evoke that thrust, but do not grasp it. The freedom to start a journey, the need to complete it, resigning oneself to non-completion [...] ”.
The work becomes an activator, a form of communication that requires a visual approach not linked in the first place to a justification of thought. Its grammar is the link that form and image generate, expressing nothing but themselves.
At this point the artist has a way out: he no longer needs to generate images, “[...] by now we have all become very good at doing it today”, transforming the work into an object in constant determination.
